Eberhard Jüngel has focused his thinking on God's Advent more than almost any other theologian has done. In the 32 essays contained in this Festschrift, Jüngel's contemporaries, taking various stances, reflect each in his or her own way on the one who is intrinsically more interesting than anything or anyone else: God. The numerous questions discussed in this context give impressive confirmation of Jüngel's basic insight that God's coming takes precedence over all human faith and lack of faith, thoughts and feelings, life and everything we do.
